Drew's Field Trip- picture heavy

I went with Drew on Wednesday to Green Meadow Farms in Wisconsin. I can't believe he is going to be a first grader next school year. Here are some pictures.

Here he is riding a pony named Spike with me leading him. They asked for parent volunteers and I volunteered to do everything. lol

Here is Drew petting a sheep.oh they are so soft just wanted to ask when they shear them. lol

Here is Drew taking a picture of the goats as I take a picture of him...lol.

Here I am helping Drew milk a cow. Now until Wednesday I had never milked a cow. So it was and experience for me too. And again here I again volunteered to help the kids milk the cow.

The most exciteing part of the trip was what I snuck home in my sweatshirt. And yes I paid for it just had to get it past the bus driver and make sure the kids didn't see it and get way too excited.

And he is a polydactyl cat but only on 3 of the four paws.

We are thinking we will name him Jack as in Black Jack but not sure...DH wants a manly name for him. But I like the animals to choose their names.

Here is Drew holding the cat.

My baby boy

Today the nurse at Drew's school decided he needs to have a visit with the Occ. therapist at his school. Because he is biting his finger and toe nails til they bleed and/or get infected and they think it could be anxiety. Plus he chews on the sleeves and collars of his shirts. I want him to get help but I don't want him labeled either. In the last 6 months we've had a lot of deaths in our family and he's trying to adjust to all day kindergarten too.

1st Day back to work

Well I went back to work. As some of you know I am a Para educator or teachers assistant. I knew that I would be at the same school but wasn't sure what grade level. To my dismay and all the teachers I worked with last year I am not in the same position....I am now a 1 on 1 with a child with special need and also will be doing program support. I had to kinda walk away and decompress the information and then went back with a better attitude and felt much better....and the extra 75 cents and hour won't hurt either.

Drew will also start school on Sept. 4th and the principal at my school is allowing me to come in 15 min late so I can take him his first day of Kindergarten....my baby is not a baby anymore... but working in the same school district I will get the same days off and be home in the evenings to help him with homework. And get insurance now that I am considered a permanent staff member

My silly child and August

Isn't he cute??? He is getting so excited about our trips next month. We get to go to Rhinelander Wisconsin which is 4 hours north of us. We will be visiting dh's grandma. She's a jubba lady that has a special place in my heart and when something happens to her I think it will be as hard on me as my dh. Then 2 weeks after we get home from there then Drew and I take a bus to O'hare to fly to Texas. This will be not only Drew's first time on a plane but also mine. It will be an experience I'm sure...lol We get to stay 10 days and then back home we come. Then that weekend is my 10 year class reunion...oh my has it been that long already??? Only wish I could lose more weight before then...oh well. Then school/ work starts for me that following week. I actually have no idea where they will place me. I'm a permanent para-educator but low on the totem pole so could move me around when they decide how many para's they need at each school.
