You are an Audrey -- "I am at peace"

Audreys are receptive, good-natured, and supportive. They seek union with others and the world around them.

How to Get Along with Me

  • * If you want me to do something, how you ask is important. I especially don't like expectations or pressure

  • * I like to listen and to be of service, but don't take advantage of this

  • * Listen until I finish speaking, even though I meander a bit

  • * Give me time to finish things and make decisions. It's OK to nudge me gently and nonjudgmentally

  • * Ask me questions to help me get clear

  • * Tell me when you like how I look. I'm not averse to flattery

  • * Hug me, show physical affection. It opens me up to my feelings

  • * I like a good discussion but not a confrontation

  • * Let me know you like what I've done or said

  • * Laugh with me and share in my enjoyment of life

What I Like About Being an Audrey

  • * being nonjudgmental and accepting

  • * caring for and being concerned about others

  • * being able to relax and have a good time

  • * knowing that most people enjoy my company; I'm easy to be around

  • * my ability to see many different sides of an issue and to be a good mediator and facilitator

  • * my heightened awareness of sensations, aesthetics, and the here and now

  • * being able to go with the flow and feel one with the universe

What's Hard About Being an Audrey

  • * being judged and misunderstood for being placid and/or indecisive

  • * being critical of myself for lacking initiative and discipline

  • * being too sensitive to criticism; taking every raised eyebrow and twitch of the mouth personally

  • * being confused about what I really want

  • * caring too much about what others will think of me

  • * not being listened to or taken seriously

Audreys as Children Often

  • * feel ignored and that their wants, opinions, and feelings are unimportant

  • * tune out a lot, especially when others argue

  • * are "good" children: deny anger or keep it to themselves

Audreys as Parents

  • * are supportive, kind, and warm

  • * are sometimes overly permissive or nondirective

Drew's Field Trip- picture heavy

I went with Drew on Wednesday to Green Meadow Farms in Wisconsin. I can't believe he is going to be a first grader next school year. Here are some pictures.

Here he is riding a pony named Spike with me leading him. They asked for parent volunteers and I volunteered to do everything. lol

Here is Drew petting a sheep.oh they are so soft just wanted to ask when they shear them. lol

Here is Drew taking a picture of the goats as I take a picture of him...lol.

Here I am helping Drew milk a cow. Now until Wednesday I had never milked a cow. So it was and experience for me too. And again here I again volunteered to help the kids milk the cow.

The most exciteing part of the trip was what I snuck home in my sweatshirt. And yes I paid for it just had to get it past the bus driver and make sure the kids didn't see it and get way too excited.

And he is a polydactyl cat but only on 3 of the four paws.

We are thinking we will name him Jack as in Black Jack but not sure...DH wants a manly name for him. But I like the animals to choose their names.

Here is Drew holding the cat.

Big decisions and yes I'm still Alive

Sorry everyone that I have been remiss in posting recently. I am now on 3 medications that seem to be working. But some test results came back and they are concerned about my thyroid. Which makes me tired a lot and my hair is falling out. So now I have to go to a Dr. and see what can be done. Also DH and I decided that Drew will be our only child...which makes me sad a little but it is something we talked about and I've prayed about.

And look what Drew did recently.

Snow Day!!!

Well here in Wisconsin we were given close to 16 inches of snow so no school today....which means no work for me. Then just recently was called and told they also cancelled school for tomorrow too. Great!! in theory. Now we have to make up 2 days in either June or Spring Break...hmmm don't like either option. Plus no school tomorrow means I don't get to teach my after school knitting class. I'm really bummed about that. I have 6 girls and 1 boy signed up so far and they voted last week on a name.......ready??? Knittabulous. I think it is way cute and they came up with it themselves. So we decided to do dishclothes on the diagnal so that they are at first working with only 4 stitches and just knitting and yarn overing. I cast on for each of them I figure cast on can be taught at another time. So I am bummed cuz I was so amped to get started with them. In knitting news I am trying to make Rushing rivulets from Cat Bordhi's new book but think they may be too big so going to frog them and go down a size of needles and see if that helps. Well Drew is yelling that he wants out of the tub so I will update more soon.

Update

Well Depakote not working so have been put on another med. But before they put me on a different med they did a pregnancy test to be on the safe side....it was negative...kinda bummed but relieved at the same time. so on Wednesday they should be able to be able to put me on a anti depressant plus mood stabilize....

In knitting news,,, I have been trying my hand at spinning which i love. Today Drew and I and a friend of mine went to our LYS because they were having 40% or 50% off sale on sock yarn.

Depakote and Alexis don't mix

Well one med down that does NOT work for me. Next Wednesday I will probably start a new one yeah....Just wanted to let you all know that I was OK just not feeling well at times. And trying to work and deal with a 5yr old while being sick at times is taking a lot out on me.
